Free Spay & Neuter
Spaying & Neutering your pets is a vital part in helping reduce the number of over population. Not only does it contribute to making a positive impact on our island, but also helps in a number of other ways! Through our spay and neuter program, all animals receive a microchip registered to the owner and a round of core vaccines to help prevent them from contracting viruses and protect their overall well being. Cats will be ear tipped to easily identify that they have been altered.
How does it benefit your pet?
Spaying & neutering increases your pets lifespan! Neutering decreases the risk of prostatic disease, hernias and certain cancers in males. Spaying eliminates life threatening conditions in both dogs and cats. Too often female dogs are diagnosed with a fatal condition called "pyometra". This is fatal to every female dog that is unable to receive emergency surgery in time. After being altered, your pet may also display a positive change in behavior!
How does it benefit pet owners?
Choosing to spay or neuter your pet is a responsible decision that helps create a stronger bond. Studies have shown that altered animals tend to be more affectionate with their owners. Altered animals also tend to display less dominant, territorial and aggressive behaviors which makes your home environment calmer, safer and more enjoyable! Having a litter of puppies or kittens can get expensive, by having your pet altered, you can prevent having the expenses that come with unexpected litters. Territorial marking is reduced and females no longer have a heat cycle for owners to clean up after.
